The Waupaca Foundry Etowah team as well as Misty Webb, Diana Elrod, and Caleb Martin honored with APEX awards at McMinn County Economic Development Authority's annual industry conference. The annual Make It In McMinn celebration recognizes companies and individuals for adaptability, performance, and excellence.
Kris describes his coworkers as a tight-knit crew. When asked his ideas to make Waupaca even better, Kris said, "If I would ask something of anybody, it is to take the time to show the newer people the right way to do their job. If I take that approach to my job, then I feel like I am doing my part.”
Andrew Stalheim started as a high school co-op, which led to three consecutive mechanical engineering internships at Waupaca Foundry Marinette while attending Michigan Technological University. Andrew shares, "As an employer, if you are looking at two people’s resumes, you are going to choose the candidate with the experience.”
Waupaca Foundry sponsored William Tell Elementary school team to attend the VEX Worlds International Tournament where the team – the Marksmen – placed above 65 percent of the teams in skills and challenges.
