Cold Spring Harbor campus is heaven for scientists, amazing feel to the campus and 'science is in the air' once you step in that campus! The scientists there are excellent, superbly trained and the cream of the crop! Getting a training from there is an amazing life-changing experience. Benefits are great and loved working there. Just wish that the employees were paid better!

The health insurance, to me, was excellent. Easy to use and communicate with, fair copays, lots of options for providers, and not overly expensive premiums. Having cheap dental & vision was great too, the 403(b) was self-funded but still fine, and all of the other smaller benefits were nice to have as an option, even if I didn't use most of them. PTO was generally fair, I believe the starting rate was 10 sick and 10 vacation days per year. Unfortunately, the rollover policy did not include sick days and wasn't great for vacation days, but I tried to use that fact to encourage me to use all of my vacation days each year! On-campus benefits of having a free health center, gym/weight room, and beach volleyball court were all extremely useful and helpful, and both functioned very well.
