Lockheed Martin benefits

LM switched to Aetna health insurance a few years ago. This is the worst insurance charging huge deductibles and minimum coverage.

9/80 Friday [Every other Friday off], amazing vacation system, and 10% 401k. You work at Lockheed Martin for the benefits.

LM had unremarkable benefits. Health care was confusing b/c you never knew what you would end up paying for any particular visit/service.

Benefits cut for 2018. High deductible healthcare, sick time capped to 5 days, short term disability slashed, life insurance slashed, no more overtime, 0% bonuses, on site clinic now charging, prices way up, lots of marketing hype but actual implementation is really really bad for employees.

Very nice place to work

Vacation starts at 3 weeks. Benefits are pretty expensive with only high-deductible options available. Just starting a bonus program; yet to know if it's good/bad. Probably pretty typical benefits for a defense company, but poor for the Silicon Valley.

401k is pretty solid - company match is high and you receive a discount on company stock. Pensions are gone, but they have implemented a defined contribution plan in addition to your 401k. Medical, dental, vision, disability, etc. are all offered

Half match up to 8% of salary for 401k. 3 weeks vacation. 9/80 schedule for most areas and positions (off fridays).

Several plants running on "9/80" work schedule, we work 9 hour days and take every other Friday off. Great benefit to get things done on Fridays. Production Floor environments (per latest union contract) and direct floor support just moved to Four 10 hour days per week, with every Friday off (except when working overtime of course). Cafeterias could be better (Aramark) but at least they are there. Company Match to 401K is above average. Overall great company to work for.

The medical is Aetna and very good. The prescription drugs is Express Scripts which is great. The 401K match and the company that Lockheed uses for investments could be much better
