Applied online and the recruiter was, at first, quick to respond. A call was scheduled with the recruiter and later with the hiring manager - all in matter of days.
One day before the scheduled call with the hiring manager, the recruiter CANCELLED because they already found a candidate.
It is almost impossible that they can find a candidate, scheduled 3-4 interviews on different days, all in 1 week.
So it seems that the hiring manager ALREADY have a candidate at the final stage and given an offer. I am just a BACKUP CANDIDATE.
That's a very disingenuous way to treat a candidate. If Airtable wants to be transparent, then why don't just tell me upfront that they already have a candidate with an offer?
Given that this is a Compliance Manager role that requires the highest degree of trust and transparency but the hiring manager and the team seems to be lacking on these, I am glad that I didn't get t he job.
