I applied through other source. I interviewed at Airtable in Apr 2021
Interview
The entire hiring process was tedious.
There were 1 telephonic interview followed by 2 Take home Assignments followed by a 4-hour panel interview (virtually)
They know I was working, but the deadlines they gave for take-home assignments were not so thoughtful
1st Telephonic round was basic testing and QA related questions
1st Take-home assignment was an objective assignment on JAVA8 (avg to hard difficulty level)
2nd Take-home Assignment:
They gave a workflow from the official "Airtable" website to create an automation framework using Cypess and Javascript. Add all the necessary test cases - basically asked me to automate their website.
I cleared that and got a great feedback
Final Round"
4hours panel interview
They sent a mail and asked to go through the Airtable website and try to understand the workflows (like- CSV import) because the Interview was going to be low-key based on that. - This was super peculiar to ask a candidate to go through their website and understand the flows. rather than actually talking about skills in a generic way
During the Interview - The interviewers were polite and warm and I thought my 4 hours went well!
But got a rejection mail the next day.
I understood so I reverted the HR to provide the basic feedback she has, she gave me a time for a small call.
but she never called me back...
