I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Airtable (San Diego, CA) in Feb 2022
Interview
The interview process was very straightforward. I spoke with the recruiter, then I was sent to the hiring manager. I was put through a few "sales" processes verifying that I knew MEDDIC and then I was put through a disco call and then a presentation of the company product. Overall a very comprehensive process. The VP of Sales personally texted me quite a few times to check in no pressure on decision or anything. The Airtable team was with me the whole way and very communicative with everything. I did not have to chase the recruiter or hiring manager down.

I applied online. I interviewed at Airtable (San Jose, CA) in Jun 2026
Interview
I initially spoke w/ the GTM Recruiter who was very pleasant. She then arranged my video interview with the Director of Sales. I immediately sensed she was uptight, and I was unable to make any connection. She asked for an example of a sales deal I ran previously and won, but she was less than impressed. She has some sales experience, but not close to the complexity of my big wins. A couple of days later I rec'd the standard rejection email: "we had a lot of interest in this role ... blah blah blah". In the end, I likely would have declined the job because life is too short to work for an edgy millennial.

Chaothic interview process, inconsistent feedback.
Be really careful, the hiring manager will call your network and current company without your consent to check your references and background. Not ethical at all.

The process wasn't difficult and I made it all the way to the end, but it was a long and pretty intensive. The people were all great and I felt very supported throughout. Communication was outstanding and they are on the right trajectory. If given an offer, I would have happily accepted.
