Airtable is serious about their interviews, and they're serious about their candidates.
At the start of the process, I was introduced to the Head of Technical Recruiting and had a brief intake call. From there, I was set up on a 30 minute Hiring Manager interview.
I was working full-time during these interviews, and I had a short timeline since I was interviewing with two other companies at the time. Airtable coordinators were very accommodating of my hectic calendar including a reschedule or two that I requested.
After the Hiring Manager interview, I had a virtual "onsite" where I met with a coordinator, a sourcer, and other technical recruiting team members. Each interview was focused on a particular area. of recruiting.
The big surprise came in the "Closing" interview which turned into a role-play exercise on how I would close a candidate with limited information on hand. I welcomed this though and really enjoyed this session as I played the part of the recruiter and enjoyed acting the part!
There was also a challenge I had to complete which asked that I present on a recruiting process to two technical team members - one with whom I now work on my pod.
