I applied online and submitted CV. After a week or 2 I was asked to complete verbal, numerical and logical tests online. I passed these and invited to a video interview. 3 pre recorded questions. I passed this and was told that my CV was going to be forwarded to the hiring manager TO SEE IF HE WANTED TO HIRE ME. Why would he not want to hire someone who has gone through the recruitment process? It made me wonder whether it was because of my age or the fact that I'm African (this could be seen on my CV). 3 weeks went by, then decided to ask. I was told the hiring manager had not come back to HR team regarding my application. 2 months later, i was told the role was filled. It takes a lot of time to prepare for the online tests and interview. If only Balfour Beatty could let the hiring manager screen CVs at the beginning of the process and not waste candidates' time preparing and only to be disappointed.
