I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Boots in Nov 2018
Interview
The first part of the interview was called a ‘showcase’. I was invited into store with 3 other candidates where we met the regional manager who was lovely and made us feel very comfortable. We all spoke together for a little while telling each other about ourselves and then we had to apply 4 no7 products on each other. This was very relaxed & no specifics on what needed to be achieved were given. Then we all went down to the shop floor where we approached customers to see if we could bring them back to counter. I personally would advice to not only try and bring them back but help them with anything they need in store as I received positive feedback from this - if you’re not comfortable approaching people this job isn’t for you. Be relaxed in your approach and don’t be pushy.
If you’re successful in the showcase you’ll be invited for a second interview with one of the managers, i tried to find as much information on this as possible but the questions I had were nothing I found on here. I was asked about experiences where I’d kept up the stamina in a team, dealt with difficult customers etc. I was also asked if I had free reign over the counter I could do what I wanted what would I do - so be prepared. I made a PowerPoint of selling points & what I’d do to up my sales - also a background on no7.
It was very basic
It was an assessment, I had to bring proof to the No7 counter and make them buy No7 products.
It can challenging for people who do not like interacting with people
there were two interviews, stage 1 and stage 2. stage one in person customer interaction 1 hour long had to do customers makeup and product promotion, stage two online meeting
2 part interview, the first part of the interview you are on the shop floor they are marking you on your skills on how confident you are to approach a customer in the store and bring them back to store, make sure to try and get someone back that is what they are looking for, they will ask you to put some makeup on the customer they are not marking your makeup skills they want too see you won’t have a problem with approaching customers and bringing them back to counter.
If u pass this part of the interview they will then ask you back and do a formal interview they ask a lot of questions about what would you do in scenarios.
