I applied in-person. I interviewed at Boots in Apr 2017
Interview
Short and in person for a Saturday job. Pretty straightforward nothing onerous as I had no shop or retail experience Would recommend going for an interview and working for them as you gain lots of experience aNd know how a large company operates.
Sat in an office with a manager, they asked scenario questions. Then if you passed this stage you were asked to go to the shop floor and pick out a product you liked. You had to sell this product to the manager. You had 10 minutes on the shop floor to tidy shelves, and help clients with products.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Boots (Exeter, England) in Jul 2016
Interview
I applied on the boots job website, then received an email asking to book a interview slot. I looked online at alot of peoples experiences of their boots interview... I read alot of people being shown onto the shop floor and having to sell something to a customer and also picking out a product and talking about it (which it actually mentions in the email you receive) I done neither, my interview was super quick and a couple of other staff members mentioned about lunch break to my interviewer so thats probably why mine was rushed along!
the person that done my interview seemed really nice but not confident enough to be holding interviews, I messed up a little on 2 of the questions but they were just normal interview questions, the other questions asked i gave plenty of information on why i want to work there etc, I have alot of retail and supervisory experience so i was 100% sure i would get the job... I didn't, and what super annoyed me is I went in there afterwards and their staff were so rubbish at delivering good customer service, but hey!
