Typical opaque software developer interview. Wasted half the interview on pre-supplied work history questions which were all very similar and had already been answered multiple times. Interviewer seemed to be barely paying attention. I don't really understand why companies like this one waste half the screener "getting to know you" if it's mostly down to the algorithm or some other factor they've obviously determined is a deal-breaker. If the company is convinced that a candidate doing algorithms under pressure is the best method by which to determine his ability, then just do a 30 minute algorithm screener first, determine if they pass or fail, and do the work history stuff in a second interview.
