Given a take home after a video interview with the hiring manager. Got a rejection within a day after the submission of that take home. To my interpretation, the take home was rather open ended. I thought I got the hang of it - but then again, not sure about the quick rejection.
I know Formlabs think they are within their rights of giving people these "three hour" tech challenges, but unless the interest to fill up the role is genuine and the candidate has a real possibility, it might be a bit wasteful of time for the candidate. I would say these are general red flags (I can read the company reviews and some of them are corraborating on my assumptions).
And yes, there is no misunderstanding from my part and I spent the time and energy out of my own will. Thought it was a nice practice at the end of the day.
