The process took almost 3 months.. but I only found out afterwards that that was because I was being vetted by a different interview team for another potential position at the same time. It started with a Skype interview with a HR rep, which was a nice way to break the ice, just asking about my resume, my reasons to apply, etc. The HR rep gave me a sample ticket to complete (I had a choice of 6-8 questions, where I was asked to answer 4), which I had about a week to do, in order to see if I was able to interact in an appropriate manner with customers and their questions. Then I came in to their office for an interview, with the head of CS, and along side also a technical rep, and another HR rep. The interview involved them testing my ability to answer questions simply, if I understood the basic parts of the product (they had recommended in advance that I study up on it), they tested me on my physics knowledge, and on my general customer interaction skills. The interview took about an hour. Then I was interviewed by Google Hangouts again by two technical reps from another office, which I found out later was for this other position. They dove much deeper into my technical background and know how, and asked me some simple physics questions in order to see if I truly understood the process they worked with. That interview was followed by another in office interview, with two other reps, who asked me similar questions as the first in person interviewers did. It turend in to a much more relaxed conversation when we all discovered I'd already been through that process a few weeks earlier. All in all I would have needed 2 "interviews" more, if it wasn't that I was looking for part time work, whilst they were looking for a full time rep for both positions. The last of the two interviews would have been with the head of the company, which everyone has told me is much more like meeting with an interesting guy for drinks at the bar, which I would have loved to have experienced. All in all, it took long, but it was pleasant, and not very stress-inducing, which was nice.
