      Customer Engagement Specialist Interview

      Aug 15, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Denver, CO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gusto (Denver, CO) in Mar 2019

      Interview

The process was rigorous/a-typical. There were a few phone interviews, a practical and then a final (very lenghty) interview on site. The on site interview consisted of meeting with several different people, getting a tour of the office and reviewing the practical. The interviews themselves are totally fine. My biggest issue is that when you get declined, even after WEEKS of time and energy invested, you get the generic email they send to someone even after one interview or NO interviews-- and INSIDE the email it says " we know you are curious about your performance but we dont provide feedback." Okay? How on earth do you expect to have return applicants if you off offhandedly refuse to provide any feedback of any kind. I had already connected with a few members on linkedin and professional to professional asked them for feedback given that I was highly qualified for the role and got nothing. This is AWFUL practice. Genuinely shows a lack of care, authenticity, care about applicants and their experience and has left an incredibly sour taste in my mouth about the company.

      Anonymous employee
      Denver, CO
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Gusto (Denver, CO) in Aug 2020

      Interview

It was literally just a 20 min phone call asking general questions - nothing to in-depth. Felt like they were just ensuring I was who I said I was. I was surprised how simple it was considering the position required dealing with a lot of sensitive information.
