informal interview. Met directly with the members I work with in the department. They were not dressed for interviews, they were in jeans. Granted it was a Friday, but there is an expectation of professionalism when you are interviewing candidates. What was awful was I interviewed on Friday... Monday morning I had an informal rejection letter that they decided to move on with someone else for the 2nd interview.
It was dismissive of the fact that I work with these people, it was informal and a letter that should go to an external candidate. This was not acceptable.
Then to be snubbed without a 2nd interview, when 1 external candidate is going in for the 2nd interview? What if they pull out last minute, what if they applied for other jobs and during all this they accept from someone else? You cut ties before offering someone else a job?
It was lacking tact and common sense. I asked for feedback, that came over a week later.
