I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Marks & Spencer in Oct 2024
Interview
The interview went well, we chatted for around 30 minutes on my experience and the way the operate within the store. It was agreed during interview that my skills would be an asset to the bakery and they were also looking for someone in this department.
We took a look around the shop floor together, and was informed they would be in touch. I got a text message from the baker offering me the job, I replied and that is the last I heard. Very strange indeed…

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Marks & Spencer (Taunton, England) in Apr 2015
Interview
The interview asked me to analyse and memorise a document booklet of facts of the current food range before being tested in a role-play scenario where I had to aid a customer. Simple enough but for the fact I wasn't told that it would be a role-play scenario and I was expecting more of a verbal test. Caught me off guard and I was very confused - not sure if it was intended to not tell me this, and was in fact a test of my response rate and creativity. No personal questions or character analysis.
