Upon arrival asked to have a look around the shop to familiarise myself before meeting the manager for an interview. This was to test observation skills and was asked about any faults around the shop and I referred to: damaged lighting, poor presentation of food, spillages etc. Beyond that was asked about previous work experience; how I'd approached challenging situations with such; why I wanted to work at M&S. My interview didn't involve the scenario based role-play which I know some people do.

Question 1
How did I approach and adapt to a challenging situation with a customer in my previous work experience?
I interviewed at Marks & Spencer (London, England)
Interview
The interview process was very straightforward, professional, and welcoming. It started with a brief introduction about the store's values and the expectations for the role, followed by a one-on-one conversation with the manager. We mainly discussed my previous experience, my flexibility for shifts, and how I would handle different customer service scenarios on the shop floor. It felt more like a friendly conversation than a rigid formal interrogation, which made me feel very comfortable.
