Filled out online questionnaire, was later contacted for possible chat job (as an independent contractor) for Overstock.com in their Home & Garden areas. I was asked about my experience and interest in home & garden. I had previous experience working with interior designers, renovation and gardening so I was invited to learn their system and then do a certification chat. I passed the certification (which was like a regular customer chat session) and was asked to begin work immediately. As it was, they hired a bunch of us at the same time, then laid us all off about 10 days later. It was quite a waste of time.
