Interview
The interview took about 2 weeks, first it was a phone interview with an HR sort of behavioral questions, and then another phone interview with the hiring manager, this time it was somehow technical with questions testing about your understanding of data analysis in general, the third stage was practical project, in which I was sent (via email) a dataset and asked to analyze the data, create report and recommendation based on the given dataset. It was about A/B testing of promotion strategies of insurance policy given 4 different promotion strategies to be used in a different time period, so the project was to test/compare the four options and decide which one is best.

I applied online. I interviewed at Root Inc. (Columbus, OH) in Mar 2021
Interview
Applied online, was invited to do a 30 minute logic test within a week. Test was 16 questions; 1/2 were SAT Math -type questions and the rest dealt with Raven's Progressive Matricies. Having never seen that type of problem before, I bombed it and was told they were not moving forward with my application the next day. The process was pretty streamlined, but the assessment could have been more relevant to the role.
