I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Swinerton in Jul 2020
Interview
Interviewer cold called me instead of reaching out to schedule time. He started immediately by asking me questions instead of providing context for the role. Further, his first question was very job specific vs asking me to share about my experience. After asking questions, I realized the job description and title was way overstated and the role was better for a more junior candidate. The next day, I emailed the interviewer to thank him for his time, but ultimately I wanted to remove myself from consideration. He never responded, which is fine albeit rude. The following week, I received an email from his (same email address I used) that said he moved forward with another candidate. As a talent acquisition specialist, this was a horrendous candidate experience. I encourage Swinerton to focus a bit more on a mutually respectful and open conversation and making sure they are actively responding when candidates reach out.
