I had a great phone interview with the Recruiter. She set up a video conference with about three or four other people and as soon as the video started, I knew I wouldn't mesh well. The white women on the call were very dry and nontalkative. It seems as though they made up their mind as soon as they saw me. The guy on the call was the only one really asking questions and somewhat engaged in the video. He even kept asking the other women if they would like to say anything and they barely spoke. I was also questioned about where I received my accredited degree. I definitely feel that race was a factor. I am very articulate, educated, professional, personable, and hard working with a strong work ethic, I could have done that job with my eyes closed. I would never recommend this company to anyone. First impressions are lasting. I am in Atlanta and I guess my Irish name got me the interview in the first place. After the interview, I was given a time frame of when I would hear feedback. I was ignored and brushed off. And after multiple attempts I was finally told they were going with other candidates. I guess it was a blessing in disguise.
