Interview
The whole process was relatively quick and seamless. All the interviewers took time to both evaluate myself as well as help give details on the role and company. Negotiation took place directly with the hiring manager and an agreement was able to be made without much back and forth. A little more clarity would have been nice on the valuation of compensation components but it was nothing out of the ordinary of a private startup about to go public.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at hims & hers
Interview
- one recruiter phone call. Standard stuff, info about the job/comp etc
- second interview was a technical screen. 45 minutes, first 20 minutes I was asked various question about my past experience etc.
Then 15 minutes was dedicated to a "technical screen". This consisted of a small problem, and how to redesign a workflow for a new feature. No coding involved.
I was rejected for not going into enough detail. Bit of a weird expectation. You are expected to do the following in 15 minutes.....
- Presented a problem
- Problem gets explained
- Ask any follow up questions
- Understand the workflow/new feature
- Explain your thought process elegantly
- Go into specific detail
- Come up with a working solution
- Answer any follow up questions from the interviewers
Seems a bit unreasonable to me.
