flexible working schedule; have good and hardworking students

Cons

Support team can only provide limited support : all they say is you will be marked "absent". They will not answer your question immediately so you have to nag them every time for an answer. Even though you have a valid reason for being absent the company will deduct a very steep amount from your salary. It takes ages before they can resolve your disputes. The salary is not that high and will not be able to support a family.

I am a full-time mother and a full-time teacher at 51Talk. My first impression of online teaching was a task difficult to manage. But I was wrong. I have never imagined myself working while taking care of my kids but 51Talk let me easily carry out my roles. While I enjoy the flexibility and freedom of working from home, what I love about the position as a teacher is being able to learn more about the interesting culture of my students. It's not like you're working; it's a career that lets you enjoy both worlds, life and work, at the same time. Knowing that you are a part of someone's success just by merely talking to them on a daily basis and sharing your wonderful and not-so-wonderful experiences with each other is so fulfilling. I will always be grateful to my 51Talk family for giving this amazing opportunity.

Cons

Deductions for penalties are a bit steep but the support team always try to resolve your issue.

Nothing! But the delayed salary!

Cons

Teachers are working so hard to make ends meet and to feed their families. But what really hit me most is the PAYDAY! The pay of the teachers are late. (5days after the said pay date) .. And it really irritating because the reason they are working because they need it. And now one of my friend is a like fish waiting for their master to feed them! And its humiliating! It happens not only once, twice but thrice... and this is the worst ever!
