Used to be great

Pros

I used to be ok with the low pay because I love my coworkers and the culture was great. Now that the job market sucks, feels like the company is taking advantage of the fact that people can't easily find a new job and are refusing to give appropriate raises due to "budget concerns"

Cons

Since getting acquired, there are WAY too many process changes in a short period of time, and most feel completely unnecessary. The focus on beating out competitors is extremely cringe, and only appeals to your sales teams. The fact that a CEO of a company is saying "F the competitor" in a company-wide meeting astounds me. It's not cool, people are making fun of this extremely unprofessional behavior. Also, if you aren't a c-suite or part of some sales team, say goodbye to a livable salary and say hello to a second if not third job

Don't consider working at AffiniPay.

Pros

The Austin office is a fun environment. It's also in a great location. There are some wonderful, genuine people who still work at AffiniPay. The AffiniPay benefits are great.

Cons

used to happily recommend AffiniPay as a wonderful place to work. However, now I would never recommend AffiniPay to anyone considering working here. Ever since AffiniPay purchased MyCase, the company has been on a rapid downward spiral. AffiniPay was a thriving, well-respected company that had excellent systems/policies in place. Adopting all of the MyCase protocols, while ditching the AffiniPay-way has caused disorganization, confusion, and franticness. The morale and quality is at an all-time low. You can definitely get better compensation at other similar companies. It's also very suspicious that anytime there is a negative review posting of AffiniPay, there are a handful of positive posts that conveniently follow. I hate to think that newer employees are being coerced into posting positive reviews.

Pros

The best part about the company is the people you meet. There are some gems at this company that make working here worth it. You will grow your experience here by wearing a lot of hats. The benefits here are good: open PTO, great health coverage, professional learning reimbursement. The office space is great and I love the free lunches. It’s a great place to start your career. Our product is great and valuable to many businesses.

Cons

Compensation is low, and raises are small. When staying loyal to the company hoping for more money, it is highly unlikely you will get the compensation you desire and what is competitive in the market. As of lately, it has felt that the open and helpful culture has changed. Working with some team members can be a nightmare and they are not a culture fit. There is also a lot of favoritism from leaders. Growing pains are also very present here, but that is understandable when multiple acquisitions happen.

Thank you for the feedback. We strive to take all feedback and learn from it which is why we offer so many opportunities for our staff to communicate with us on how we can improve - whether it's anonymously through various staff surveys or via our suggestion box. In effort of transparency and fairness, you may have seen that we revealed our new company compensation philosophy during today's all-staff meeting that details how our combined new organization will handle compensation moving forward. We encourage all employees to speak directly with their HR business partner for any specific compensation questions or concerns. We understand that AffiniPay looks/feels a bit different now, but are excited for this next chapter we will encounter as one team!
