Pros

Work is not very challenging and day to day work is slow. Good place to learn and understand the corporate environment. HR takes lengths to make employee feel appreciated, but with low salary and poor office culture, these efforts can only go so far.

Cons

Cold and outdated office environment that leaves little incentive to come into the office. Regardless, most work is independent leaving little need for in person collaboration. Benefits are not impressive. Salary is comparatively low to other non profits considering that most are completely remote. Uncertainty around the hybrid work schedule is a huge draw back. Much better compensation, leadership, and culture elsewhere.

Pros

There are very talented people at the AACR who care about their mission.

Cons

There is a lot of red tape/approval process that gets in the way of progress.
