Exploitative, Micromanagement, and Department v Department
Pros
Profit-sharing and some people are nice.
Cons
The main issue I have is the promise of increased pay from taking on more and more responsibilities but no follow through on those promises. Also job titles do not match responsibilities in the slightest. Being disguised by a "flex" responsibilities but really pushing that limit of what is considered flex and a whole other job. As it stands my responsibilities have me being pulled in multiple directions at the same time, if I'm programming a machine I should have been getting someone parts, tuning another process, or researching and keeping up with vendors and getting new software or equipment, or operating a machine, or writing a script to pull data from something, or writing an SOP. And this is all at the same time with the highest priority. The Management is very micromanaging and does not trust their employees. There is also a culture of one department hating the other and barely or even no communication. There is also some "I need to cover myself" otherwise I'll get written up for it and no accountability, always blaming someone else causing even issues with interdepartmental relationships.
