Pros

Flexible schedule My moments reward points were really cool

Cons

- Too many internal reps fighting over the same deals and accounts. (They say you’re territory protected but you’re not. Ask about “follow the lead.”) - Do not take this job unless you have prior industry experience. The training is subpar at best and they hire leaders externally, who can’t necessarily help you bridge gaps with industry knowledge. - Implementation process is terrible making it impossible to leverage referrals. - way too much internal politics and tensions amongst other business units. - product is a poor industry fit. Competitors like Paychex and Paylocity offer the same services for half the cost. - I’d strongly suggest you ask for proof of quota attainment during the interview process. Only about 30% of my team was actually at plan and their retention on new hires was awful. I always found this ironic because we would tell prospects we could help with employee retention and couldn’t even help ourselves.

Pros

- Health benefits (effective first day of hire too) - Autonomy over your schedule - Teamwork culture - Work-life Flexibility - Facilities - Hybrid Schedule (3 days in office, 2 WFH) - Frequent employee engagement activities going on at the office location - You gain a ton of compliance knowledge - Great resume builder

Cons

-The job itself is more of a transactional role with your clients instead of being the relational and strategic position most HR professionals desire and are accustomed to. -The emphasis is on customer satisfaction from an overall account standpoint (payroll, tax, benefits, cost of the service) instead of strategically consulting and advising your clients from an HR standpoint. Because of this, you act as the front-line customer service rep, taking on and resolving most of the client complaints and concerns, either directly or indirectly. -If you enjoy and thrive in customer service and case management and also have an interest in HR, this job could be a very good fit for you. -If you are looking for an HR consultant or other strategic HR partner role, you may want to look elsewhere. -Annual Bonus

Pros

Being able to work from home. You may be required to go in 3 days out of the week but the 2 days home help out a lot. If you can generate enough sales you’ll be able to enjoy a great amount of compensation. The metric system is pretty low so if you’re keen you’ll be able to hit your goals in less than a full day of work.

Cons

Out of everything that I’ve listed that seemed to be great. There’s a ton of reasons why I wouldn’t recommend. If you’re outbound it becomes too much to manage while getting sales. It can quickly become overwhelming. Management doesn’t micro manage at first but when they do it brings forth a level of anxiety unbearable. There’s often unnecessary meetings that drag and can at times become boring and redundant. The work environment is somewhat like a high school environment. People focus on things that don’t have anything to do with work at work. If you’re someone who enjoys getting work done and going on about your day. It’ll be impossible to do just that. Not to mention if you’re a minority it’ll be punishing to endure. Very little room for growth and only a select few get special accommodations. If you’re someone who wants to work at a stress free environment avoid at all.
