Pros

In major accounts, successful reps do have the ability to make a very good income.

Cons

Very old school culture that does not practice what it preaches to clients regarding employee engagement. Reps would loose 8-10hrs per week due to mandatory internal meetings. The constant meetings were not adding any value and reps had to make up this lost time after hours if you wanted to be successful. You are expected to work in an office that is a constant distraction. The culture is so old school even down to leadership wearing suits to the office everyday even if they are not visiting any customers. While your competition is only focused on beating ADP, you will spend a lot of time and energy competing internally with other reps battling for leads and over the same accounts. This creates a strange culture where reps don't want to collaborate and share ideas because your own teammate may take one of your accounts. The only reps that are successful have years of experience with internal and external relationships built so leads get funneled to them.

Good but not a great place to work

Pros

1. Salary can be good, if you negotiate or come in with experience. 2. ADP has a solid reputation and having them on your resume gives you a leg up. 3. Training of new associates is detailed and thorough 4. HCM products are solid, and easy to learn and work with in Implementation. But they are not leading edge. Nor are they truly integrated. 5. If you are in a OneADP location there are a lot of events and efforts made to have a 'fun' culture. 6. From my experience there is no issue with gender/race/sexual orientation bias. You will be judged on merit/performance/etc.

Cons

1. Yearly, if not more frequent, Reductions In Force (RIF). This goes for both Implementation and Service. As a result job security is not high and those that survive the RIFs have to do the work of those that were let go. 2. 100% focus on OneADP office, if you are a remote associate there is not a path to promotion/advancement, or even lateral movement. You must be in an office. 3. Many of the skilled and highly knowledgable associates have left in the past 4 years due to RIF, voluntary early retirement, or to find a new opportunity. 4. Benefits are good, but not great, and are costly. 5. ADP is fragmented, many different silos across the organization that do not always work well together or communicate effectively. 6. Annual increases are low, typically around 3% 7. Promotions, even in offices, are very hard to get. High competition for very few slots.

Pros

You get to learn a lot, and they throw you out there so you must sink or swim.

Cons

No help, time your bathroom times, hostile work environment, people are known to cry while at work. When Year end comes they don't let you take lunches out, they do pay for you to eat at your desk. I'd rather have taken the breaks sometimes.
