Pros

Get to work with state of the art research. The management is very knowledgeable and highly educated. Employees are treated with respect and their efforts are acknowledged.

Cons

As a contractor to the government you have to jump through a lot of hoops to get your work done; it is sort of like being a government employee.

Pros

Interesting and challenging work in weather models, atmospheric, oceanic, spectral research and applications.

Cons

The company seems to be constantly going through growing pains. The former focus was research, and it has grown into providing some commercial services as well. But they have struggled with their business model and company structure and that translates into lots of switching around, making your understanding of your role and any chance to advance tenuous.
