Inconsistent Disaster

Pros

While many employees would say otherwise, the benefits provided by AFS are pretty solid compared to other companies in the area. As with any company, there are great people who work there, but that can be said pretty much anywhere.

Cons

It felt as if the company had no clear direction and was being run by individuals who had zero experience in the industry. Like other reviewers have stated, there was certainly a "politics of fear" type of atmosphere. There were unrealistic expectations on many employees, which is what led to many others resigning from the company. There was a gross discrepancy in pay based on whether you had an "in" with the owner or not. All around, it was simply not a pleasant working environment.

Frustrating

Pros

Direct supervisor and team are great to work with

Cons

EC and upper management seem to be clueless with no vision and no plan for the future. Processes are cumbersome to do even simple tasks. Many high profile employees are leaving. Benefits are ridiculous, and all employees are treated as highly expendable.

Worse Company to work for

Pros

Being off on the weekend, holidays, paid everyother Friday,

Cons

This company is one of the worse companies to work for. The CEO, CFO, Owner could careless about the employees. No pay increases. If it is it's no more than .20 to .30. That's a slap in the face when you're doing so much work. McDonald's make more than we do. Sad but so true. Managers don't even know the job but expect you to know it. The owner wouldn't even hold the door for me what that tell you.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review of AFS. Merit increases are considered during the annual compensation review and tied to performance reviews. The leadership team does not condone inappropriate language in the workplace and I encourage you, as a current employee, to report any such behavior to HR or upper management. Sometimes employees do not report these types of situations and issues cannot be resolved without first being brought to light. We promote a professional work environment and handle any interruption to that, as it arises.
