Pros

There are literally none. Yes, some people are great to work with but every company offers the same thing.

Cons

-The owner and his son seem to believe they can acquire their way back into financial success...unfortunately, they have overpaid for each of the last three acquisitions and have yet to find a way to properly integrate each acquisition. -Close to 40% of the employees have been terminated/laid off but, not surprisingly, none of the "Yes Men" and "Good Ol' Boys" have been let go. -AFS lost a lot of customers in 2015 due to 1) the services not working - both in accordance with how they are sold or simply not working, 2) people becoming apathetic - I've heard "that's not my job" more at AFS this year than with all other years and companies combined, and 3) bad judgement on the part of the owner and his son - AFS will lose millions of dollars this year but they decided to break ground on a new corporate HQ anyway. -AFS proudly promotes its high ethical standards but I have witnessed the exact opposite. I, and other coworkers, have brought billing errors, failures to complete projects, and erroneous selling points and other concerns to the Executives, only to be told to "let it go", or "you don't know what you're talking about", or "I never made that commitment to that customer", or "let's hope they don't find out".

Pros

Competitive salary. Freight audit services are solid.

Cons

Too much confusion with day to day operations and executive team. No one seems to be on the same page, at all. Many customer services issues being voiced by customers when you're out in the field and nothing ever gets solved. After you finally find a sucker to purchase the services (other than freight audit) the implementation process takes 6 months (in most cases) and you don't get paid until after implementation is complete. Commission compensation is a VERY gray area. You have no clue what you're going to be paid until payday, leaving you no room to dispute or question anything. No commission statement is available either. Sales leadership is out of touch and doesn't understand why people are not lining up to purchase their services and then blame the companies problems on you.
