Dear Former Employee, Thank you for your candid feedback. We always like to hear from current and former staff regarding their experience - as each can be very unique. At APPLE, we actually pride ourselves on the way we train our employees, particularly technicians. Perhaps you were hired prior to our state-of -the-art training program developed by Drs. Apple & Jones. Our training includes not only the 40 hour online-training, but also 8 hours of in-vivo training in our Bothell clinic. All technicians must pass a written exam and an exam with a child prior to being placed officially with a client. We do also reimburse/pay for all fees related to licensure. We also have provided this past year and continue to provide monthly continuing education for our technicians. Half of them are via webinar and half are "live." All in all, we are sorry that there was a perception that one our supervisors came across as less than enthusiastic about training. We will definitely bring your feedback back to our supervisor team and use this as constructive feedback.

Pros

Great mentor, great consideration of commute between clients

Cons

Hours are not consistent, PTO is not a real thing since you must work 40 hours a week to accumulate

Dear Former Employee, We appreciate your feedback and will use this information to inform our practices moving forward. We are glad that you experienced our great mentorship program. Particularly, for those who are Program Managers (in a BCBA program), we have several components to our mentorship that include: being assigned a BCBA to work with (particularly to gain indirect hours), monthly Program Manager meetings with Dr. Apple to learn aspects of becoming a BCBA that are not necessarily taught in official program (e.g., insurance, treatment plan writing) and study sessions for passing the exam. We are also glad that you experienced our very thoughtful and careful assignment of clients as we are aware of commutes and place our staff accordingly so as to minimize drive time. We also attempt to be considerate of technician skills and preferences when placing with clients. In terms of PTO, our employee manual states that all staff (no matter the hours worked per week) receive PTO at 1 hour for every 40 hours worked beginning 6 months after start date. We are sorry there was some confusion regarding this guaranteed benefit. Thank you for your time working at APPLE Consulting and we hope that overall you have come away with a positive experience that can be built upon in your future endeavors.
