Pros

Some what competitive salary Dedicated coworkers Diversity is valued Great place to start a career Looks good on resume Name carries company

Cons

AT&T used to be known for integrity and was a great place to work. But after SBC took over, the company is dying quickly througb gross mismanagement and Bell South and SBC processes that tear down dedicated employees while encouraging "super techs" to speed through repars while dedicated staff are put on performance improvement because they are cleaning up messes caused by super techs. Upper management have no idea how to manage a wireless company and ignore sound concerns over serving the customer and providing quality service-bean counting trumps customer service.

Pros

Unionized - guaranteed annual raise Medical Insurance - Dental, vision, others also available Above average wages for that area Pension plan, 401k, discounted wireless service

Cons

Metrics imposed are unreasonable. Performance evaluated on things you have no control over. Additional duties regularly added but no extra time allotted to do them Center converted to sales with established requirements. No option/warning to apply elsewhere if not interested in sales position. Dress codes established, then not enforced. Consistently cleaning up someone elses mess for callers. Whole system set up for employee failure. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Attendance policy unreasonable, very difficult to get unplanned time off.
