Pros

AT&T likes to think it's a forward thinking company. In some ways it is, and some ways it's absolutely not. The Pros to working for AT&T are that they do have decent benefits - although they've been reduced in recent years, just like most major companies.

Cons

The Cons are that the company doesn't pay well for non-retail jobs. In fact, as a trainer, I make less than the majority of the people I'm training - even if they are there on day one! Additionally, compensation is so spreadout (in my position, ranging from $39K - $99K in my market and similar markets) that it creates animosity.

Pros

Trained to function to at least 60% of the job. All tools and equipment are provided (if available). Good to better set of benefits.

Cons

Some managers don't know how to handle people properly. Those mgrs should came from lower ranks and not directly hire so that they have the look and feel of doing the jobs of their subordinates. Union has little or no say to the company decision.

Pros

The Pay is the one and only reason I stayed.

Cons

Tethered to a computer by a headset 8-10 hours a day. No respect given from management. Turned into a seat shop type environment. No room to grow or advance. A dead end job.
