Pros

Decent salary and benefits, including employee discount on AT&T services (50% off wireless lines)

Cons

RTO policy is 5 days/week in office with almost no flexibility and reports on your office presence as if you're a grade schooler, even if your team is located in other cities. There are no stock options/RSUs except for high-level managers (and we're supposed to celebrate when the stock goes up). Stay away from the Bothell office because 1) there's no cafeteria (executives say they can't afford to subsidize one), so your only on-site option is a food truck, vending junk food, or bring your own lunch; 2) the office is in an office park in the middle of nowhere, about a mile from the nearest transit, so you'll likely need to drive; 3) if you do drive, get to the office as early as you can, as there isn't enough parking; and 4) there is no assigned seating.

Pros

• The Dallas HQ is a nice office in the center of the city • Pay and provided devices are solid • Good for people experienced in tech sales and looking to improve

Cons

• Distracting work culture around the office from leadership, resulting in poor communication and a lack of good support to their mentees • Trainings are often unprofessional and do not prepare new workers • These often take too much time and leave little-to-no room for trainees to make 65 calls daily and reach more unrealistic metrics • High turnover among both higher-ups and trainees is concerning • Overwhelming expectations and pressure for strong performance • Full door-to-door day every 1-2 weeks going to small businesses • Most importantly, new grads with no sales experience should not even consider applying: it is too short-term and intense as a first job

Pros

+ Great benefits + Relocation + Housing Stipend

Cons

- Overwhelming each day with trainings back to back - Next to no time to actually make calls - High stress The running joke at AT&T is that it stands for "at this time." Lots of my more tenured program mates have said that the reduce the base pay by about $15K when you're deployed to the field market after 4 months, forcing folks to have to rely heavily on commissions. Expect lots of last minute changes in the program. It feels like they reel you in, then hit you with the old bait and switch. This program is highly stressful and requires you to do extra prep time after hours or else you risk falling behind. You need to have your time management skills down to the second. If you don't perform, you are cooked. Simple. If you're not ready for that, then sales isn't for you.
