Pros

Good at domain knowledge. You can learn a lot about the product.

Cons

Not at all women friendly. One of the manager is obsessed with women and is competitive even with freshers.

Pros

The actual work culture is good good benefits

Cons

Upper management doesnt care about employees at all and will try to sound progressive in all-hand meetings but when anything ever comes up they will never be on the side of the employee Promotions are basically luck based on whether your team gets enough of high-visibility work for you to meet the very specific requirements for promotions

Pros

Most of the coworkers I work with are bright and talented people. There is a wealth of knowledge among everyone on the team. I've made some great friends here. Good retirement benefits. Good work/life balance

Cons

The job description and outline of duties during the interview before getting hired do not match at all what is asked of me or my team. Most of this job is not technical at all, despite being in DevOps/Systems. It is mostly hand holding other departments and validating that they are meeting requirements for their projects. There is a lot of work that a project manager and/or technical writer should be doing. It is a waste of talent having everyone on this team work on things that are not in their wheelhouse. You wouldn't ask a fish to climb a tree? Why ask engineers to do project management? Communication is really bad across the board. Some teammates and management don't always respond to or acknowledge direct messages. Departments higher up rarely respond to direct messages or emails. Meetings are never accepted by upper management leaving you in a state of constant uncertainty (This is exacerbated by the fact that most upper management is in the UK). The above alone does not warrant a 2 star. However, some recent toxicity during meetings has plummeted the remaining faith I have in this department. Badmouthing employees, former and current, and other "workplace taboo" topics are becoming more and more encouraged to talk about during meetings. This doesn't help the already low morale; we should be discouraging things that can cause bad attitudes and negativity. There are other things I can get into, but I will keep the rest to myself only keeping these highlights above.

Firstly, I apologise for the lateness in the reply to your feedback. The notification for this only came through recently and so I hadn't seen it. We take your feedback very seriously, and this has been passed on to both the TA team (so job adverts can be double checked for accuracy to roles) and the senior HRBP to look into the other areas of your feedback. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.
