OK Company to work for, frankly, they do not care about their employees that much
Pros
You get a chance to work with some of the original world famous Wonderware products which is now owned by AVEVA. 401K plan is grandfathered, due to which you get 6% 1:1 employer match which is the biggest plus here. Free snacks, Volleyball and basketball onsite, if you are fortunate to work in their Lake Forest campus.
Cons
Leadership does not seem to have a clue on the direction that they should go other than the fact that, everything now should move to the cloud as soon as possible, something which they ignored 5 years back when many employees were asking why there was no investment to go in that direction. Better late than never I guess. Employee benefits has been going down hill every time the company gets acquired and sold. Higher healthcare premiums every year, a strong push for employees to go with HDHP, Computer purchase program taken away, Legal Plan gone. All they care about is for us to keep pushing more and more code in faster and faster, Quality becomes an after thought. Be prepared to work odd hours as they have outsourced most of their work to India & China, so literally, not much of a growth in the US. You can forget about any career advancement here. HR is one dead org here, they do not seem to exist. No onsite social events for employees other 2 namesake boring events, which now a days, no one cares to attend.
