Pros

Solid company, some great co-workers (even those that worked all the way across the US), a CEO who cares about the culture of the company for employees and works hard toward making it a great place to work, a pretty good benefits package when I was there but was not competitive at the time but I do believe they were heading in a good direction with it, never boring as there is tons of work to do at pretty much every level.

Cons

Sometimes, the tons of work to do and not enough bodies to get it done in a timely, efficient manner is a con. At the time I worked there our specific location had a laundry list of challenges and not all management was on board with Rob Alston's goals toward a positive, collaborative, empowered culture. We were in a constant state of growing pains and management turnover was difficult as you would bend over backwards to more than prove yourself and your abilities to your manager, and just when they knew they could rely on you, boom! They were gone and another manager was in place. Still though, this proved to be good for me as it created in me a drive to always work as hard as it took to do my job(s) well.

Thanks for your review here. I appreciate the feedback. I am glad that you found the promotion opportunities as a positive during your time at Access. I appreciate your advice to stabilize before we continue to grow, but I simply disagree that we need to stop growing in order to stabilize. I think we can do both and we are doing both. I know that we are experiencing growing pains and things aren't always perfect, but I won't let perfect be the enemy of good, and nor will I compromise growth, as I firmly believe growth provides opportunity. There will always need to be a balance of stabilization and growth, and I know we haven't always gotten in perfect, but we can and will always investment in improvements along with our growth. I hope this doesn't come across as dismissive, because it isn't meant to be dismissive. I know that different people feel differently about our growth, and I feel strongly that we should continue to grow and build infrastructure at the same time. If we stop growing - if any company stops growing - the decisions become very different and include things like layoffs, pay decreases, benefit cuts, etc., and those are not decisions I want to be faced with as an organization and a team. Please feel free to reach out to me for any reason, including a healthy debate on this topic! :) I can be reached at ralston@accesscorp.com. Thanks for all that you did while you were at Access. The role of Market Leader is complex and can be quite challenging, so I appreciate the time and energy that you invested while here. Thanks, Rob

Pros

This company is growing rapidly and has been doing so for years. Lot's of potential for career advancement if you are willing to relocate. The senior leadership in this company is extremely intelligent and has one goal in mind; advance the team, advance the company. Senior leadership all the way up to the executive leadership are always willing to help and assist where needed, all you have to do is ask them. Great benefits packages including short and long-term disability, 401K, 401K match, company internal grants for financial assistance, and bonuses.

Cons

Salaries. This is something they were working on when I departed. The CEO and CPO developed a team to research, evaluate, and recommend salary changes based on the area cost of living and position.

Thank you VERY MUCH for this heartfelt and positive review. I agree that there is lots of opportunity for growth and advancement in the company for those who are willing to REACH for it, ask for it and get after it! While I won't claim be part of "extremely intelligent" crowd, I will agree that our executive team is very much interested in the goal you note: "advance the team, advance the company." I am glad you appreciate the benefits package which we work hard every year to upgrade and evaluate for further advancement. Finally, yes, we continue to work to understand market competitive wages and address accordingly in the company. It saddens me how much we miss the mark here in some places and for some people, but we will continue to work at it and invest significantly to get it right. It just isn't as easy as everyone hopes to get it right on a dollars and cents basis, which is why we try to provide a comprehensive total rewards package that includes other benefits. Thanks again for your review and please feel free to reach to me at any time at ralston@accesscorp.com. Thanks for all the work you did while here at Access and I wish you all the best, Rob
