Thank you for your review. As I have noted in other reviews, I understand clearly that you feel we don't pay team members what they're worth and I appreciate you speaking up about it here on Glassdoor.com. As quoted from another review I just posted: "we evaluate and adjust compensation regularly (annually at a minimum), including having used a consultant to help with that in the past, but we still have team members feeling undervalued. Our efforts in this area are, and always will be, on-going and as result of the feedback we have received from team members through surveys, face-to-face communications and other avenues (like Glassdoor.com) that we are missing the mark on compensation, we just hired a VP of Total Rewards in June to be an in-house resource to continuously examine and ensure our compensation is fair and competitive for every market in which we operate. They will spearhead our compensation evaluation efforts and compensation adjustments more completely - and I expect with more satisfactory results - than our previous efforts." The work at Access in many positions is quite challenging and I am sorry if that wasn't made clear to you prior to your employment. Many of the positions in our facilities or on the road involve regular and repeated heavy lifting, operating of heavy equipment, etc. We do keep regular maintenance on our vehicles, so I am disappointed to hear that you think we have poor maintenance on our trucks. Any more detail here you could provide would be put to good use. Please email me directly at ralston@accesscorp.com. Thank you again for taking the time to provide a review here, Rob

Pros

The hard working staff that make Access; the route drivers/transportation specialists.

Cons

Employees work so hard while management sit and delegate without offering any help! They think the job is easy and they make things hard on drivers. Management is so greedy that it took 10 years + being with the company to finally get a decent raise. Not really enough for living in Hawaii's economy. No more so called bonuses because it's been added in to increase hourly pay/ wage. They don't honor Hawaiian holidays nor our veteran's day holiday. No chances for advancement in the company. No appreciation for hard workers. Management quick to blame instead of investigating the truth first. Not family oriented!!

Thank you for your feedback. As noted in other reviews, I read each and every comment and take them all seriously. Given that I am born and raised in Hawaii, which is also where I started my business, I feel I have a good understanding of the differences between Hawaii and the mainland. As a ten year tenured team member you have a great perspective on how Access has grown and changed since I started my business in Hawaii and joined the Access team. You're right that we don't honor Hawaii specific holidays, like Kamehameha or Kuhio Day, but every team member also has two floating holidays to observe whichever holidays they would like to observe. Additionally, many years ago the company team members voted to take the day after Thanksgiving as a holiday instead of veteran's day, but again we provide two floating holidays to all team members to observe whichever holidays they would like to observe. Finally, we also provide a mission critical service managing information for tens of thousands of businesses, including many, many hospitals, that require services on holidays, so we can't simply close the business down on all holidays. I do appreciate your hard work - and the hard work of all Access team members. I understand that you don't feel appreciated by your local team members and leadership and for that I apologize. I will be in Hawaii later this month and will spend time with all team members and local leadership making sure that everyone has the opportunity to speak with me directly. I look forward to that opportunity with you and your team members. As always, I am open to a conversation to learn more about your specific concerns and issues you may have had with payroll or regarding changes in our compensation approach. Please email me directly at ralston@accescorp.com and I will respond to you directly. I treasure our and my roots in Hawaii and all team members and your perspective matters to me and the leadership team. Mahalo for your review, Rob

Thank you for your feedback and for posting a review. I read each and every comment and take value from all of the responses we receive. I also apologize for the delay in responding to your review; I aspire to post responses in a more timely manner. You're not alone in feeling that we don't pay team members what they're worth - and I simply don't like that our team members feel that way. While we have evaluated compensation regularly, including making numerous market compensation adjustments in addition to regular annual merit based increases in the past few years, we clearly have team members feeling undervalued. Our efforts in this area are, and always will be, on-going. Part of our evolution here includes bringing in senior Human Resources leadership to examine and ensure our compensation is fair and competitive for every market in which we operate. In fact, we just hired a VP of Total Rewards in June to spearhead this effort more completely - and hopefully with more satisfactory results - than our previous efforts. Many of our team members find value in our social events and community and charitable activities. I believe strongly in these and we will continue to be active members of our communities and encourage teams to host social events - like the parties you note - to provide opportunities to get to know your fellow team members better and to build stronger teams. I hope that you can come to appreciate those opportunities and please know that I don't view social events as an offset to providing additional compensation for team members. Thank you again for the review. As always, if you would like to contact me directly please email me at ralston@accesscorp.com and I will respond to you directly. Best, Rob
