Pros

The company truly tries to improve morale, and strongly encourages community interaction through volunteer work.

Cons

Benefits are not competitive, the company is growing way too fast, and standardization has taken a long time to reach the new markets. Executives are trying to standardize many areas of the operations divisions but there are way too many markets that still don’t know the access way.

Thank you for your time and the valuable feedback in your review. First, I appreciate you identifying that we connect with our community – all Access team Members are encouraged to participate in valuable community activities both individually and as part of company-sponsored events and projects that result in significant charitable donations of time, talent and dollars. 200 leaders met in Orlando last week and as a team we prepared and packaged over 54,000 meals for feed my starving children. We truly believe our community support makes us different and makes us better. I appreciate hearing that you don't believe our benefits are competitive. I really struggle with this item. Our goal is to provide benefit choices that are competitive and support our efforts to be a great place to work, and to that end we have made significant investments here. However, we still have not satisfied many team members. We started a 401k match 100% of the first 3% contributed by team members, we cover between 65% - 100% (depending on your total compensation) of family coverage for all team members on our HSA plan, we added two more flex holidays and that isn't the complete list, but that list alone represents a lot of benefits investments in just 2 years. The 401(k) matching alone is expected to be an additional $1.4M in 2017. We conducted another benefits survey just last month (I hope you participated!) as we continually seek feedback from our Team Members. I will share that the biggest issue for most people seems to be the "high" deductible on our HSA plan. I will look into how we may be able to address this item. Furthermore, you're right that better consistency and standardization across our operations is needed – unfortunately this is a result of the way we have grown by acquisition - with each acquired company doing things differently. This is a major focus of 2017. It won’t happen overnight, but we see it as a major opportunity. In addition to getting closer to the operation in the past four months after taking over COO responsibilities for our US Operations, one of my major personal goals has been to be a more "visible leader", so I take your feedback to heart about spending time with more non-exempt front-line team members. I will continue to travel to more of our facilities this year to meet with the team. I visited approximately 15 locations last year and met with many team members. Again, thank you for your review, we use this tool, and several others to address issues, identify strengths and weaknesses. This is one of the valuable tools that help us determine where we need to focus our energy as a company. Best, Rob

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you feel there isn't room to excel here at Access. I see that you worked here for less than one year, so that may have been why you didn't see much room to excel or for promotion. However, I am curious what other positions you applied for while you worked here and what your personal goals are for your professional development, besides just getting paid more in wages. For completeness and accuracy in my response here, I reviewed the most recent market compensation data and we pay at 99% of market rates for the Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC markets for cash compensation (I see you were in Virginia). So, we are very competitive with our wages there, I believe. I also think of compensation as a total package, not just the hourly wage. Included in that total package, we also match 100% of the first 3% for 401(k) contributions (a 100% return on your money) and pay a large percentage of family medical ( although our deductible is a bit high, which is something I am hoping to be able to address in March with our annual benefits renewal). Furthermore, we recently launched a benefits survey and are launching another company wide engagement survey this week, for the express purpose of gathering feedback so that we can invest more in the areas the team would like to see improvements and to see if the team feels like we have made improvements in the past year. I am hopeful that most of the team feels better than you do about what we have done and where we are making investments. I am most disappointed that you feel like I/we have been lying about what we do for the team. While I know we have lots of room for improvement, I think we have been very honest about what we are doing and not doing. I don't compromise my integrity and never ask others to do so, either. I would be very interested in hearing more on this topic. As always, please feel free to email directly at ralston@accesscorp.com. Thanks again for your review and I wish you the best, Rob

Pros

I am relatively new to the company and from what I have seen so far this is going to be a company to be reckoned with. Management seems to be focused in the same direction with a clear goal. Benefits are in line with others in the industry. The culture is great! The company is growing which means plenty of opportunities for advancement down the road.

Cons

The company is showing growing pains which is not necessarily a bad thing. It is to be expected.

Thank you for the positive feedback and for the sound advice to get to the know the team and keep everyone informed. It is exciting to hear that you appreciate our benefits, culture and the opportunity that comes with the growth we are experiencing, while also acknowledging and pointing out that we are experiencing some growing pains, which is the truth. We do work hard to communicate with and provide transparency to all team members with lot of information about the company (including financials), where we are headed, where we plan to invest and grow, etc. However, we simply can't do it enough and I appreciate the reminder on how important it is to the team. Thanks again for your review and please feel free to reach out to me directly at ralston@accesscorp.com. Thanks, Rob
