Positive Reviews Are Sought Out by Execs

Pros

If you stand out in the eyes of management, you will get advancement opportunities quickly. The title will help you when you ultimately opt to leave because the salary doesn't match the position.

Cons

A good majority of the positive reviews you see here are sought out by the executives. They determine what employees they know are currently pleased or would be inclined to leave a positive review and then request for them to. Especially when the overall rating starts to dip. The pay is well below market. If they are implementing change, as I see in the COO's comments to reviewers, it will be slow and less than what's needed for an employee. The open PTO is great in concept but you will be overworked to the point it can be difficult to utilize. And buyer beware, they watch the amount you take closely to make sure you're not a "values mismatch" if you take too much.

Thanks for taking time to leave feedback. I have to admit being confused by several things in your profile and feedback. It appears you've been gone a while and you are negative about the company and the CEO, but positive on the outlook? I can't speak to the time of your tenure (I only joined last year), but I can assure you that executives are not seeking out positive reviews. If we were, the results on this site would be quite different :) In fact, other than my responses, we are going out of our way not to influence, encourage or discourage any posting on Glassdoor. If I ever found out that anyone, executive or otherwise, was soliciting reviews on Glassdoor or any other 3rd party site, it would be dealt with immediately. So let me refute the notion that there is any influence regarding positive reviews. Perhaps another explanation is that there are employees who are actually positive on our company? We do wish you the best in your new role. Much is changing and improving, certainly since you left. As always, the feedback office is open and if you would like to find out more, you know where to find me. We are working hard to build an enduringly great company. Perks do not outweigh the Crummy Management

Pros

Casual dress code. Based in Austin. People are very nice. Free snacks. Open paid time off. Lots of soda? I'm having trouble coming up with more Pros.

Cons

I truly believe that some of the positive reviews on this site are fabricated by the the HR team. This place has a very high turn over rate in a number of departments because the company does not treat it's employees well. Many individuals are treated as if they are unimportant and disposable and some are actually 'disposed' or fired. The respect that management shows the individual worker is minimal and that disrespect works its way from the top down. The company needs to treat their employees like adults. Also, their tiered salary system is bogus. It's an excuse to pay employees below average with the lofty promise of promotion. There's no way that the company can keep that promise. There are too many employees and the numbers do not work out.

I am sorry that your experience at Accruent was not positive. We wish you the best in the next phase of your career. Note: HR does not write reviews on Glassdoor. If we leave a comment on here, it is under our name rather than an anonymous review. Best, Wayne Roberts Chief Operating Officer

Pros

I made some really good friends here. Close to restaurants in the area

Cons

I feel betrayed. When I started here a year ago they sold me on the opportunity for development, advancement and pay raise. After the first 6 months they said I was one of the best, but I had to wait on all three. Now, again, after another 6 months the same story. This seems to be the norm here: you tell people they are doing great, and the reward is just around the corner. However, when you get there they back pedal. Most of my peers feel the same. No surprise all the people are leaving.

Would love to visit with you about the issues you note. Consider visiting with your manager or escalate (including to me) so that we can get on the same page. We haven't even finalized or announced mid-year promotions and raises yet, so I would love to hear how we got off track here. Best, Wayne Roberts Chief Operating Officer
