Pros

Most of the employees that work here are nice, although for some reason a majority are really dry, boring people. I guess free drinks are nice, but the food is pretty lacking in comparison to the other tech companies I've worked at.

Cons

Laughably low compensation. The funny thing is that even though they are trying to raise salaries, the "new" increased salary is still well below what you should be making anywhere else. Too many meetings and corporate policies. Very very old tech stack that scares off talented developers (guess what, in 2015 even Rails is old!). Everyone gets a Lenovo! (gross lol). If anyone ever says that Accruent has a start-up feel, they have most definitely never worked at a real start-up. No one really wants to be at Accruent, and you can tell.

Thanks for your feedback. If caring about our company, thanking people for feedback, being transparent, agreeing with constructive feedback, sharing plans, correcting facts, and encouraging dialogue regarding how to make our company great is "desperate", then I am guilty as charged. Wishing you all the best in your new role/company and hope that you find the happiness you seek. Best, Wayne Roberts Chief Operating Officer

Pros

I like most of my co-workers. Nice office location in NW Austin, short commute if you live nearby.

Cons

It looks as HR has been busy posting reviews here. Most people are pretty down these days in Services. We hired some high-level people mid last year to make changes, and the changes have all gone wrong. It feels like we are all confused, as there are so many conflicting messages. One day this, next day that.

We've clearly missed on communication with you. I do appreciate you letting us know and we'll work hard to address and earn your trust. Please don't lose faith and please do help us build a great company. Note: HR does not write reviews on Glassdoor. If we have something to post here, it will be under our name and not an anonymous post. Best, Wayne Roberts Chief Operating Officer

Pros

Free snacks (when available) Good office location Covered parking Small ($500) 401(k) matching Open PTO (but do not take more than 2 weeks, otherwise you are seen as a slacker)

Cons

The "open door" policy sounds great. Until you realize that the people speaking up at company meetings are suddenly gone. I seriously think they encourage people to speak up, so they can identify, what HR calls, the "whiners".

Thanks for providing feedback for Accruent. We do hire very smart people and do want them to innovate and express ideas. I am so sorry that you (or teammates you may be referring to) have been labeled. Not okay. We all need to work together to build a great company. I can assure you that we want all of the smart people we can find to help us, especially if they also share our company values. Note: We introduced a 401K match in 2015 and it is far more than the $500 mentioned in this review. Best, Wayne Roberts Chief Operating Officer
