      Pros

      I worked at one of the local stores so all of the people I worked with were great and I knew everybody. My manager also allowed me to do an internship while there as a managment trainee which helped me land another job during school more in line with my major.

      Cons

      Because it was a store owned by a local family is was a fairly small operation and advancement rarely came along. There seems to be a distant connection between corporate and the family owned Ace's which would make it difficult for anyone who wanted to jump the gap.

      Pros

      Ace is a very nice place to work. The teams and departments are very friendly and welcoming. Mid-level management is accessible and open. Performance appraisals are timely and you always know where you stand in your career. Ace has a strong belief in the importance of work-life balance.

      Cons

      Ace not a fast-moving company or culture, which is frustrating for many new employees. Technology and data are very limited. There is an old-boys network that is slowly eroding.

      Pros

      The two main reasons to work here are flexible schedules and good hours. The customers and co-workers are are great to work with.

      Cons

      Negative atmosphere, gossiping, back-stabbing. Management always seems to have someone "targeted", someone they focus on with extreme negativity. It creates a hostile work environment. Management has the "there are a million people fighting to take your job" attitude. Constant threats of being fired, not because of poor job performance, but because they (the managers) don't feel you are "grateful" enough to work there.
