Help children and families. The staff is very much involved in the families lives.

Cons

Seems like a lot of work for very little pay. Theres a worksheet to fill out for everything; Theres also endless training. Also seems like theres a high turn over rate. Theres about 3 or 4 new employees in the school I am in; one of them is looking for a new job already.

We understand that we have high expectations for our Teachers, given that we have a very important task at hand of closing the achievement gap for low income children and families. We are competitive in the market for a federally funded Head Start program. Employees can expect an increase in pay upon receipt of a COLA (cost of living adjustment) granted by the government, which we ARE fortunately receiving this year! You are absolutely right that we are constantly training our employees to equip them with the tools they need to be successful in their position. We wish you the best in your future endeavors!
