Pros

Some of the students were lovely!

Cons

Very unorganized place of business! There were always several meetings(time always changed, etc). The teachers there were all about gossip. One teacher even started an argument with another in front of the kids on my first day at the center! They are also very hypocritical as well. No one told me the majority of the students were so misbehaved! I didn't expect them to be Angels, but it became stressful/overwhelming. One student was kicking, hitting teachers/students, cursing, and punching walls. The teachers in that class said to just ignore it! Some of the teachers made inappropriate comments as well. I also was very underpaid for all I did, and I was told I'd have different hours than what I was scheduled.

Pros

Time off is needed to re-energize, Good program when followed. Liked always competing with unliked. A difficult struggle at times affecting overall performance.

Cons

Unprofessional staff. Liked are protected while disliked are targeted. Be quiet, ignore violations to keep your job. Lie when needed, manipulate data and do your job. I have experienced found that many workers, specially management lack integrity, honesty and commitment. If I could find a compitable job I would leave but my bills must be paid so I play the game.

Hello, I agree our PTO is key to an employee's mental health! We have very high standards and want our staff to take their earned time off to refresh! We would never want anyone to ignore violations, that in and of itself is a violation to our Standards of Conduct. We would never want anyone to lie or manipulate data. In fact, falsifying information is a serious offense in our organization so I (and your local Director of HR) would like to speak with you personally if you've witnessed such violations. Although, I'm not sure who your local HR Director is since you've indicated Brooklyn as your location and we do not have a location in Brooklyn. As you say, you know first hand what goes on and we need to know as well. Please reach out to me, Rita Kelly, HR Manager, at 212-289-2402 X6005. I can also put you in touch with Henry Wilde, our CEO, so you can see/hear first hand the integrity, honesty, and huge commitment he embodies. Thank you and be well.

Thank you very much for your feedback. I could not agree more that we have amazing coworkers, families and children – and that we work very hard. I hope that you felt that the work was a reflection of how deeply we care about our mission to close the achievement gap. I am sorry to see you are no longer with us. I hope you had the opportunity to conduct an exit interview before you left, but if not, please call 212-289-2402. I would love to be able to get more detailed feedback on your experience. I realize the enormity of the task we have at hand and the implications for our workload as a result, and I share your deep concern and frustration with the spiraling cost of health care. Again, I really appreciate your feedback, and hope we can hear from you soon. I hope you remain in the field of early childhood education and that you have found other fulfilling opportunities to do this incredibly important work. Be well, Henry Wilde, CEO
