Acuity's structure will be stretched as they continue to grow. There is not enough leadership support, as managers are technical experts and there is not an infrastructure in place to support their development.
While Acuity prides itself on being a flat company, it means top performers can't progress based on merit.. they are stuck. This is not a company for someone trying to advance quickly in their career. I am seeing more top performers leave. As a flat organization, I've also seen employees stretched very thin. Day to day can be survival versus embracing how best to complete functions.
PTO is average to below average. There isn't equity in who is allowed to use flexible scheduling either.
Acuity talks about being an innovative company, but from my observations, that only pertains to a few departments... Underwriting and sales. I haven't seen any new ideas implemented that they weren't "encouraged" to do because of "the times", outside of the departments listed.
