Pros

The prod & eng teams are very strong, so I'm always learning something. I trust leadership and think they do a good job setting a clear strategic vision and putting things into a broader perspective for us. The business is doing really well.

Cons

It's a fast growing company with ambitious goals, and so there are often new technologies being introduced, new scaling challenges to overcome, and aggressive timelines to hit. These are good problems to have I think, but you need to manage your own time and work life balance.

Pros

- Top tier engineering culture. Strong belief in ownership and autonomy, low ego, high collaboration. I'm genuinely in awe of my teammates daily and it makes it a ton of fun to come to work everyday - Really interesting problems to solve - We handle large data, build powerful visualizations, and simplify intricate workflows for users. Our products have strong traction (and grew from 1 to 4 in just a year!), yet there’s still so much untapped potential to explore, which makes the work here incredibly exciting. - Willingness to invest in meaningful tech improvements - I've seen us successfully re-write our backend twice. We're willing to take big swings to significantly improve our architecture. - Leadership is smart, empathetic, and really listens (and more importantly takes action). I’ve seen them pivot multiple times based on real feedback, making it clear that they genuinely care about doing what’s best for both the business and the people. - High growth - I've seen internal promotions, successful lateral promotions to brand new teams, and people (willing) take on significant responsibility outside their typical job description. If you're looking to accelerate your career and significantly increase your impact, this is a great place to be. - Great balance of remote and in-person. We're a fully remote company, but AcuityMD invests in in-person events. We have yearly full companies offsites, orgs/teams will get together a few times over the year, and larger cities have neighborhood meetup events. For me, it strikes the perfect balance of remote flexibility and in-person connection.

Cons

- It's a high growth startup, so it's not a place if you're looking for a strict 9-5 job. Things move fast, and expectations can be high. If you’re looking for a strictly defined role with predictable hours, this might not be the best fit. - High growth has some growing pains - People here are trusted to solve problems that don’t have clear answers, which can be exciting but also challenging. It’s a great environment for those who thrive in ambiguity but may not be for everyone. - We don’t have everything figured out, and there are areas where we can still improve - whether it’s refining processes, improving local development, or strengthening cross-team communication. Making an impact often requires speaking up and pushing for solutions.

Great option for fully remote

Pros

Company has always been fully remote so if you’re looking to be remote, you’re not left out of anything. People are really great. There’s a solid pace to product development but not in a frenzied way. This may be the most diverse tech company I’ve worked at and it doesn’t feel like something they are overtly trying to do.

Cons

There are some silos that feel exasperated by being remote. Even though it’s a fairly small company, I likely won’t know a large percentage of people at the company.
