Pros

Colleagues are generally nice, smart and dedicated people. You get the chance to work on important issues.

Cons

Wide disparity between top management and the people who do the actual work. People leading the organization are out of touch. Some have worked here for so long that they've developed unhealthy working relationships. Depending on which department you're in, be prepared to be over worked. While most people who work here are generally nice, some are not and can be gossipy, controlling and bullies.

Pros

Make a decent living while doing meaningful work. Hours are 9 to 5, unless you have trouble managing your time or if you have a manager that sets unrealistic deadlines.

Cons

Hypocrisy. Besides the everyday perks that are only enjoyed by select employees, e.g. come and go as they please and working from home, there are actually written policies that are applicable on a cases by case basis.
