Pros

Getting plenty of hour time to get done health wise what I need. I have hd to get eye injections evry six weeks and have been able to take time off to do that. I alo like hving 4-5 days to eake time off for vacation, to the family cabin, in Michigan.

Cons

Not that I can think of, off hand. They have been good about giving us training with the new phones.

Pros

Great people to work with company wide. The IT department is wonderfully helpful. Good training on any new programs. Great benefits, especially the health insurance.

Cons

Communication between departments, especially between editorial and advertising.

Pros

I most value the reputation with the community that the Herald Review has been able to support and maintain throughout the years. I value the leadership in Brett and that he let's people excel in what they're going at and nudges them when they need a nudge. I think our office has a great team that collaborates together and works hard to hand out the best product we can twice a week.

Cons

I feel like there is a different between editorial and sales-- and I might be a little biased because I used to work in sales, but that the editorial is often the first thing that's cut or not appreciated but without good content, one cannot sell the newspaper. When I became editor, I remember everyone congratulating me, and in reality it was almost a slight pay-cut. I think there are things the company can be doing, besides raises if that's out of the question, to do better to make workers/employees feel like they are valued, appreciated, and supported. I absolutely LOVE and ADORE my job-- I enjoy going to work every single day and I think that making people feel valued is a simple way to improve team culture/morale.
