Pros

There are no good reasons to work here .

Cons

Salary does not even out money is not right. You get paid $15 admin time drive time and you only make the big amount of money when you're working a job and even then they're cutting your time. The supervisor that was training me was very lazy out of shape and they should have sent him to get an evaluation of his health because he kept breathing hard wearing a respirator. He would make up all these stories of things in the past and would be talking to management the whole time trying to screw you. The shop manager there is always on the phone with the area manager I think they have some type of relationship going on. But even on personal things you can't trust anybody at that workplace.

Pros

Genuinely a friendly dispatch team with a manager who is a great people person, no backstabbing, politics (at least in this department). Recently canned a totally incompetent CEO, Mr. Ford the new CEO has a good head on his shoulders. Real solid businessman. It feels great when you feel gratitude from families that are so thankful for our services when they are dealing with tragedies, death of family/friends, etc. That is the best non-financial perk. Once trained, they pretty much let you do your thing, after all we are the front door to the company. 90 plus percent of all inbound calls are warm leads, maybe even higher than that. Absolutely no cold calling as this is a sensitive business that people rarely use a second time (exception mostly is landlords).

Cons

-Very tight with paying people, all dispatch new hires full or part time are getting $25/hour....current salaried dispatchers that have been with company for over 2 years have a base of 55k and a monthly bonus structure, leading up to 58-75k depending on your metrics. For hourly workers (including the new full timers), they try VERY hard to ensure you do not get overtime. Personally I think they are just waiting for the tenured full timers to leave so they can pay $25/hour (52k a year) to the new full timers. This would easily add a lot of money to their balance sheet. Was also told by the manager that they've gotten like a 1-2 percent raise over the past 3-4 years and the former CEO didn't care. Given the inflation we've had that's shady. Despite being a national company, it is still a small business but falls under ServiceMaster and Roark Capital. So a small business with the corporate suit overlooking everything. Personally I think this would've been a better job for me if I was part-time.
